For my work experience placement, I was given the opportunity to work in a small group to produce a educational video for the Yeovil College University Centre. For this, we had to work with a client to produce a professional standard video explaining the process of applying for Disabled Students Allowance.
To create this video, we first had to go over the script with everyone involved to see which relevant information needed to be said. We then filmed our client Sian multiple times in front of a green screen, which we later planned to change into a more disability friendly colour. We came into college for a day to edit the footage, and added some graphics and logos to make the video as fun and informative as possible.
After making our final changed based on the feedback that we received, we showed the video to Sian and she was very pleased with the results. Working in a professional situation on a strict time limit was a bit of a challenge, however it made me become very aware of how working with other clients in the future would be, and gave me that bit of practise making sure everything is up to standard.
